Some details below could not be fully confirmed against the current official text when we checked on 2026-10-15. Check the official sources before relying on them.

National law

Obligations for services apply from: 2025-06-28

Authorities

How consumers complain (our summary): Art. 22 par. 1(b) requires procedures to follow up complaints or reports on non-compliant services, but the original text designates a service authority only for electronic communications (EETT). For public-sector websites and apps, the complaint mechanism of art. 45 of ν. 4727/2020 applies (art. 22 par. 3(b)). No designated authority or complaint channel for e-commerce, consumer banking, e-books or transport-ticketing services was found in the official text.

Where service providers must publish accessibility information

Art. 13 par. 2(α) of ν. 4994/2022: service providers draw up the information required under Annex V (Παράρτημα V) explaining how the services meet the accessibility requirements. The information is made available to the public in written and oral form, including in a way accessible to persons with disabilities, and kept for as long as the service is in operation. Annex V point 1 (read via the consolidated text on e-nomothesia.gr; the ΦΕΚ annex pages use a font that would not extract): the provider includes the information 'στους γενικούς όρους και προϋποθέσεις, ή σε ισοδύναμο έγγραφο' (in the general terms and conditions or an equivalent document). As applicable, this covers a general description of the service in accessible formats, explanations needed to understand its operation, and how the Annex I requirements are met. Art. 13 par. 2(β): Annex I Section V requirements must be offered free of charge, per art. 217 of ν. 4727/2020. No language rule was found. (our summary)

Microenterprise exemption

Art. 5 par. Under this, microenterprises providing services are exempt from the service accessibility requirements and from any related obligation. Art. 4 point 23 defines a microenterprise as fewer than 10 employees and annual turnover or annual balance-sheet total not exceeding EUR 2,000,000. Art. 14 par. 4 has a separate product-side derogation. (our summary)

Under the Directive, microenterprises providing services are exempt (Article 4(5)); a microenterprise employs fewer than 10 persons and has an annual turnover or balance sheet total not exceeding €2 million (Article 3(23)).
